Physiology and Biochemistry
Topics may include stressors (light, temperature, salinity, nutrients), uptake rates, transport, life histories.
Ecology and Change
Topics may include microalgal and macroalgal ecology, anthropogenic change, plant/animal interactions.
Topics may include molecular and morphological approaches for systematics and taxonomy.
Applied Phycology and Conservation

Oral presentations are 15 minutes with 5 minutes for questions. Our poster boards will take up to A0 in size (841 x 1189mm) in portrait orientation. If we are pushed for time/space, some oral submissions may have to be allocated to the poster session, with authors notified before Christmas.

Student oral and poster competiton

A number of oral slots are reserved in advance to guarantee students the opportunity to present their research, and to participate in the Irène Manton (1904-1988) Prize. There will also be a poster competition as well. Guidelines and Asessment Criteria can be viewed here. Please check the box on the Abstract Template if you are a student and wish to participate.
